![]() With the fleet incentives it penciled out to be cheaper to run the Ford/Dodge or Chevy even paying for more repairs and turning them a bit quicker to get rid of them before they became cantankerous, that and County supervisors didn't want to buy "foreign" cars like Hondas from Ohio or Toyotas from Kentucky or even Subarus from Indiana. Yes I agree the Hondas and Toyotas may be better cars, have higher resale values and last longer but they cost significantly more and the fleet incentives were not as good, combine that with no selling dealer in our county I had to go for the Ford/Chevy or Dodge models. Say what you want in the County fleet the Fords Taurus, Windstar and later Fusions had lower repair costs than the Chevy Malibus and Dodge Caravan/Grand Caravans and once they stopped making the Taurus better resale value.
