I have never had this type of experience in the Financial District before. He would have been more friendly and aware of his customer service approach. It seems to me that if sales have been falling below standards for the owner. How much tourism was dropping and how bad sales were for their store. I could hear he and another employee talking about how bad business is in San Francisco. When I did ask a question about a device for hats, he was very course and kept correcting my vocabulary. He chose to make an issue about my purse. The truth of the matter is that he never inquired as to what brought me into the shop. He looked like an employee, so I suggested he have the man assist me. A man came around the corner and was staring at me. The manager tried to refuse me entry into the rest of the store. I was referred by another gentleman to go visit the store as it is supposed to be a landmark in San Francisco. I refused because I found it to be impolite and also I did not want my personal items stolen. ![]() Before I could enter the middle of the store he stepped in front of me and blocked me and told me I had to leave my purse up front. Until I started walking to the back of the store. When I walked in the manager never got up from his seat to assist me.
